SMYRNA, Tenn. – The Saints are ITC Nationals bound! Maryville Bowling punched their tickets to Las Vegas, placing third at the Intercollegiate Team Championship (ITC) Sectionals. The Saints finished with a total of 12521 over 64 games of action to find their top three placement in a field of 20.

While the Dawgs battled the team event, the Saints also sent four into the Intercollegiate Singles Sectional Qualifier, with
Anna Maxwell pacing the Saints, finishing eighth out of 143. Maxwell rolled 1303 over six games, averaging a 217, falling just short of a bid to Singles Nationals.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Saturday team play saw the Saints roll their first 32 games, they say in fifth-place, with the top four spots moving on to LV. All in Baker format, the Saints averaged a 186 in their first 16, seeing a big uptick to 200 for their second block of games to move them up three spots.

Heading into the Sunday finals, the first block was massive for Maryville as they scored the second best 16-game set of all the teams in Smyrna, Tenn.  With a 3113 total pinfall total—a 194 average—to propel them into third.

The final stretch was crucial as a massive 255 in their final Baker match, alongside a 224, 233 and a 236 kept the Saints in third place and sent them to Vegas.

The Saints are back to regular season action, going to the Music City Classic right back in Smyrna, Tenn.
