ST. LOUIS - The Maryville men's team hosted Division I Eastern Illinois for a match at Dwight Davis Tennis Center. The Saints were looking to take down a DI foe but the Panthers prevailed 5-2.
 
Jose Hernandez and Michel Delaloye won their doubles match at No. 1 but EIU came back and eventually won the other two contests for the doubles team point.
 
Michel Delaloye won his match at No. 3 singles as he posted a 6-3, 6-4 victory to pick up the first team point for Maryville. Markos Prentits also rallied to win his match in the third set 6-3, 4-6, 7-6 for the second team point. Quilty won the first set of his match at No. 5, while Diego Alvarez also took his opening set of his contest at No. 6 singles.
