Maryville Women's Tennis Wins Third Straight with 4-3 Victory Over Lewis

ST. LOUIS - The Maryville women's team won its third straight contest with a 4-3 victory over Lewis Friday at the Dwight Davis Tennis Center in the Great Lakes Valley Conference opener.
 
Victoria Lisson and Carolina Velazquez took their clash at No. 2 doubles, and a walkover at No. 3 handed the Saints the team doubles point.
 
Isabella Alvarez won at No. 3 singles via a 6-0, 7-6 margin, while Luana Luersen emerged with a 6-3, 6-3 decision at No. 5. Grace Brown won her match at No. 6 on a forefit as the Saints prevailed on the day.
