INDIANAPOLIS - The Maryville women's tennis team dropped a 4-1 decision to No. 1 seed Missouri-St. Louis to bow out of the 2026 Great Lakes Valley Conference championship in the semifinal round.

At the No. 1 doubles slot,
Isabella Alvarez and
Nazli Saka battled to take five games but lost 7-5.
Luana Luersen and
Grace Brown dropped their match at No. 2, while at No. 3 doubles,
Maria Mateos and
Mira Vasileva claimed five games but the match was unfinished.

In the No. 5 singles position, Luersen was victorious with a 1-6, 6-3, 6-4 decision. However, that would be the lone singles point the Saints would be able to snare.

Alvarez won her opening set at No. 1 singles but lost in three sets. Mateos and Brown both extended their matches at No. 4 and No. 6 to third sets.
