Men's Tennis Edged Out 4-3 by Lewis in GLVC Opener

ST. LOUIS - The Maryville men's team was narrowly edged out 4-3 by Lewis in the Great Lakes Valley Conference opener at Dwight Davis Tennis Center.

Michel Delaloye and Diego Alvarez won their match at No. 3 doubles but the Flyers took the doubles point by winning the other two matches.

Markos Prentis took his singles contest at No. 4 by a 7-6. 6-3 count, and Alvarez worked for a 3-6, 6-3, 12-10 decision at No. 5. Jack Quilty took the final singles point in the sixth slot 6-2, 6-4 but the Saints were unable to come all the way back.
