ST. LOUIS  – The Maryville men's volleyball team closed out the regular season with a sweep over Thomas More by scores of 27-25, 25-18, 28-26. The victory is the eighth straight for the Saints.
Luke Kraft had 15 kills and hit .481, while
Makai Scott notched a double-double with 13 kills and 13 digs.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Trailing 22-20, the Saints scored four straight to earn set point.
Cameron Lee and
Tristan Benbow had kills to tie the score. Scott had a kill, and a block by Kraft and Benbow made it 24-22. Thomas More pulled even at 25-all.
AJ Robateau hammered down back-to-back kills for a 27-25 win.

Set two was tied at 7-7 before Kraft put the Saints ahead for good with a kill. Robateau and
Ethan Beyreis-Heim had a block and a TMU error made it 10-7. The Saints defense took over with two blocks and two TMU errors for a 14-9 advantage. The Saints strung together a 4-1 and pulled away late.

Maryville was up 16-14 and went up 20-15. TMU chipped away at the deficit and tied the score at 23-23. The Saints kept the pressure up and picked up three match points. The visitors tied the score, the last at 26-26. Scott's kill earned another match point, and a TMU error ended it at 28-26.
