ST. LOUIS  – A dominating first half boosted the No. 11 Maryville men's lacrosse team to a 16-5 victory over Quincy.
Ben Mickett recorded a hat trick and had an assist, while
Justin Simonson also notched four points on a pair of goals and two assists. The Saints stretched their winning streak to five straight.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Maryville took control early as Mickett fired in a score just 49 seconds into the game off a
Justin Simonson feed to spark a 5-0 run.
Colin Tobias doubled the lead for the Saints, and Mickett powered in a man-up goal for a 3-0 margin.
Eli Backer found the back of the net, and
Clayton Cerett made it 5-0.

Quincy opened the scoring in the second, Mickett answered to complete his hat trick, which sparked another five unanswered goals.
Brenden Bloedel fired in a goal, and
Shea Raeburn won the ensuing faceoff and rifled in a shot. Bloedel added a second, before
John Chorlton rocketed in a goal for a 10-1 lead at halftime.

The Hawks tallied two straight midway through the third quarter but Simonson answered with two straight. The Saints put the game away in the fourth as Backer tallied a second, while
Reme Lobitz,
Jared Norris and
Jack Rosa all found the back of the net with goals.

Dylan Radke made six saves and only allowed three goals to pick up the win in the cage. The Saints grabbed a season-high 55 ground balls and had 18 caused turnovers. Raeburn won 10-of-12 faceoffs as the Saints took 17-of-23 at the dot.
