Huge First Half Helps Men's Lacrosse Pummel Quincy 16-5

ST. LOUIS  – A dominating first half boosted the No. 11 Maryville men's lacrosse team to a 16-5 victory over Quincy. Ben Mickett recorded a hat trick and had an assist, while Justin Simonson also notched four points on a pair of goals and two assists. The Saints stretched their winning streak to five straight.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Maryville took control early as Mickett fired in a score just 49 seconds into the game off a Justin Simonson feed to spark a 5-0 run. Colin Tobias doubled the lead for the Saints, and Mickett powered in a man-up goal for a 3-0 margin. Eli Backer found the back of the net, and Clayton Cerett made it 5-0.

Quincy opened the scoring in the second, Mickett answered to complete his hat trick, which sparked another five unanswered goals.
