On the heels of a run to the NCAA Tournament Semifinals, the Maryville University men's lacrosse team saw seven selected to the 2025 All-South Region Team by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association. Dagan Carlson, John Chorlton and Justin Simonson were named second-team All-Region, Clayton Cerett, Ben Mickett and Shea Raeburn picked up third team recognition, and Tyler Jerstad was an honorable mention choice.
 
A short-stick defensive midfielder, Carlson picked up 55 ground balls this season and ranked third on the team with 17 caused turnovers. He added five goals and five assists to the offensive attack. Chorlton, who was the Great Lakes Valley Conference Defender of the Year, led the efforts for the best scoring defense in the GLVC and one that ranked eighth nationally. Chorlton amassed 37 CTs to go along with 75 ground balls overall this season. In addition, he scored four goals and chipped in a pair of assists. A junior attacker, Simonson paced the Saints in goals (40), assists (43) and points (83). He recorded at least two points in every game this season, fired in the game-winning goal in overtime during the quarterfinal contest at No. 2 seed Limestone, and had a goal and an assist in the semifinal game at No. 1 Tampa.
 
Cerett ranked tied for third on the team with 45 points on 22 goals and 23 assists. The senior attacker recorded a hat trick in the NCAA Tournament romp at Anderson and had two goals and two assists in the national semifinal game at No. 1 Tampa. Cerett picked up at least one point in 18 of 19 games. Mickett was second on the team with 36 goals scored and added four assists for 40 points. He scored at least one goal in 17 games over the season. Raeburn led the Saints at the dot with 147 faceoff wins and recorded a .552 win percentage. He added six goals on the season and led the team with 87 ground balls. Jerstad, a junior defender, ranked fourth on the team with 15 CTs and snared 34 ground balls during the campaign.
 
The Saints ended the season with a school-record 14 victories and won the 2025 Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament. Maryville reached the NCAA Tournament semifinals after posting back-to-back road upsets of No. 3 seed Anderson and No. 2 Limestone before falling at unbeaten No. 1 Tampa.
