SPRINGFIELD, ILL. –
Fernanda Diaz-Pizarro tied for first place overall but lost in a playoff as the Maryville women's golf team was runner-up at the Dan Salisbury Memorial Invitational. Diaz-Pizarro carded scores of 74-76-75=225 to tie UIS' Elaine Grant in regulation. However, Grant prevailed on the second hole of the playoff to earn medalist honors. The Saints came home with rounds of 323-316-320=959 at Piper Glenn Golf Club.

Diaz-Pizarro had two birdies in round one, three in the second and was steady in the final round with 13 pars. On the first hole of the playoff, Diaz-Pizarro and Grant both recorded pars. However, on the second hole, Grant won with a par to take first overall.
Kelly Wang garnered a sixth-place finish with scores of 84-72-80. Her second-round score was the best of round two and second-best round of the entire tournament.

Kylie Yiengst finished with rounds of 84-79-82=245, good for 14th overall, and
Maddie Vanderheyden tied for 19th and closed the tournament at 81-89-83=253.
Sydney Coziar carded a final tally of 280. Playing as an individual,
Chloe Fong came home with a three-round total of 264.
