ST. LOUIS – The No. 7-ranked Maryville STUNT team protected its home floor in dominant fashion this weekend, going 4-0 at the Maryville Invite inside Moloney Arena, highlighted by a statement win over No. 5-ranked Trevecca Nazarene on Saturday.

After their final win, the Saints honored their senior class, celebrating a group that has helped elevate the program into a national contender at the NCAA Division II level.

SATURDAY
Maryville opened the weekend with another strong showing against GLVC foe Drury. After defeating the Panthers 29-10 last weekend, the Saints once again handled business, earning a 23-8 victory.

The difference came late. Maryville exploded for 12 points in the fourth quarter while also posting a shutout frame defensively to pull away comfortably.

The marquee matchup followed as the Saints squared off with No. 5-ranked Trevecca Nazarene. Maryville seized early momentum with a 3-1 opening quarter. The teams battled to a 4-4 draw in the second before the Saints edged the Trojans 5-4 in the third to take a 12-9 lead into the final frame.

With the home crowd behind them, the Saints sealed the ranked victory by taking the fourth quarter 10-7 to secure the win.

Day two belonged to Maryville from the start.

The Saints rolled past GLVC affiliate Ferris State, 28-8. Once again, the second half proved decisive. Maryville claimed the third quarter 6-2 before dominating the fourth 14-4 to turn the contest into a rout.

The weekend concluded with an abbreviated matchup against a shorthanded Southwest Baptist squad. Due to roster limitations, the game was shortened, and the Saints capped the invite with a 10-0 victory to complete the 4-0 weekend.
