STUNT Finishes Fifth at STUNT Nationals

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Maryville STUNT team closed the 2026 season with a fifth-place finish at the College STUNT Championships, held at Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee. The Saints went 3-2 overall as the No. 5 seed.

THURSDAY
Maryville opened competition with a 1-1 mark. The Saints began with a win over No. 12-seeded St. Mary's, claiming every quarter in the opener. Their largest margin came in the second quarter, a 7-3 advantage.

With the victory, Maryville advanced to face No. 4-seeded Dallas Baptist but fell 25-20. The Saints took the second quarter, 5-4, but a two-point edge in the first and a 6-2 third quarter gave DBU control. Despite scoring 10 points in the fourth, Maryville could not close the gap.

FRIDAY
The Saints bounced back in dominant fashion against No. 10-seeded Malone, again sweeping all four quarters in an 18-7 win.

Maryville then faced a familiar opponent in No. 8-seeded Trevecca Nazarene. The Saints edged the Trojans 22-20 in a tight contest, holding off a strong fourth-quarter push.

SATURDAY
Maryville's run ended Saturday against No. 3-seeded Davenport, the Great American Midwest Conference (G-MAC) champions.

The Saints tied the second quarter 5-5 but struggled to keep pace, falling 26-15 to close the season.
