QUINCY, Ill. – The Maryville STUNT team has kept its perfect Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) record alive this past weekend, going 3-0 at the Quincy Invite, hosted by the Hawks.

The Saints defeated Lewis 26-19, Purdue Northwest 26-21 and Quincy 30-6 to end their GLVC schedule perfect with one weekend left in the regular season.

Saturday's matches kicked off at 2:30 p.m. as the No. 4-ranked Saints battled No. 17-ranked Lewis. The Saints dominated in the first two periods, winning 5-1 and 6-2 to build an advantage. The Flyers battled back with a 6-4 in the third, but the Saints captured an 11-10 team routine win to secure it.

Another ranked battle concluded the day as the Saints fought off the No. 11-ranked Purdue Northwest Pride. Maryville took three of the four periods, including a 12-10 final team routine to ice it and to move to 2-0 on the weekend.

It was a smackdown Sunday to finish the Saints' time in Quincy, Ill, thrashing the hosts to the tune of a 30-6 score. Clean wins in the first three periods were overshadowed by a 14-2 onslaught in the final period.

The Saints wrap up the regular season this coming weekend down in the Bluegrass State at the University of Kentucky hosted Kentucky Invite in Lexington, Ky.
