FORT SMITH, ARK. – The Maryville women's team snared a sixth-place finish at the Hardscrabble Invitational in Fort Smith, Ark. The Saints posted rounds of 313-310-327=950 as they only trailed four nationally-ranked teams out of 15 squads. The final round featured gusty and windy conditions which challenged the entire field.

Fernanda Diaz-Pizarro was in a tie for 16th place overall and paced the Saints with rounds of 74-75-86=235. Two shots back was
Kelly Wang who posted scores of 79-77-81=237.
Chloe Fong came home at 76-77-91=244, while
Kylie Yiengst matched her total and finished the tourney at 84-81-79=244.
Maddie Vanderheyden carded rounds of 89-81-81=251.

No. 24 Midwestern State took the team championship with a final three-round total at 899. Ellen Spigner of Arkansas Tech won medalist honors at 215.

The Saints travel to Bolingbrook, Ill., for the Flyers Spring Invitational hosted by Lewis at Bolingbrook Country Club March 30-31.
