Matt Bearley scored early in the second half to boost the Maryville men’s soccer team to a 2-1 victory at Indianapolis Sunday afternoon in the Hoosier State. The game winner was his fourth score of the season.

In the fourth minute of the second half, Indianapolis evened the score on an unassisted goal. The Saints responded just under six minutes later for the game-winning goal. Reinitz began the sequence with a pass into the box, and Bearley jumped onto the ball and slid it home for the eventual game winner. Indy looked for the equalizer but Hohenstein made two late saves to preserve the victory.
The Saints improve to 3-12 overall, 3-9 in the league. The Greyhounds dip to 6-7-2 overall, 5-5-2 in the GLVC.
