Despite two singles wins, the Maryville women’s tennis team was tripped up 6-3 by Illinois Springfield in a Great Lakes Valley Conference match held at the Webster Groves Parks and Recreation tennis facility.
 
Maria Lesko and Anna Hindelang accounted for all of the Saints points on the day. The duo combined to post an 8-2 win at No. 3 doubles to get Maryville on the board. Lesko, playing at No. 5 singles, put up a 6-2, 6-0 triumph over her UIS foe. Hindelang dropped just one game as she eased to a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 6 singles.
