2013 Drury Invitational results in PDF
The Maryville swimming and diving team closed out action at the two-day Drury Invitational with a total of 143 points. The meet was the last for the 2013 calendar year for the Saints who are not in action again until traveling to Washington University for a meet Jan. 10-11, 2014.

Jill Johnston was the first individual finisher for the Saints in the 500 freestyle in a time of 6:59.54. In the 200 IM,
Olivia Shannon clocked a time of 2:25.29. The 50 freestyle saw Sam Gach post a 28.36, with
Jessica Miller just behind in 28.42, with
Lucy Helzerman next at 29.91. In the 400 medley relay, Johnston, Shannon, Gach and Miller came home in 4:40.55 to close out the first day of action.

The 200 medley relay saw the same foursome of Johnston, Shannon, Gach and Miller touch the wall in 2:12.42. Gach finished the 100 butterfly at 1:15.90, while the 100 breaststroke featured Shannon leading the Saints at 1:15.29. Miller led Maryville in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:15.03, while Johnston finished in 1:15.97.

The group of Miller, Gach, Johnston and Shannon recorded a time of 9:28.05 in the 800 free relay. Three Saints went in the 200 backstroke with Miller serving as the top finisher for the squad at 2:39.31. Gach covered the 100 freestyle in 1:04.26. Shannon had the best finish of the day for the Saints as she was fifth in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:40.93. In the final event of the meet, the Saints posted a time of 4:15.59 in the 400 free relay.
