Principia resultsThe swimming and diving team picked up its first dual meet win as Maryville defeated Principia 119-72 Friday evening in Elsah, Ill. The Saints recorded eight event wins during the evening.

Kirstin Parks,
Olivia Shannon, Bailey Olsen and
Arin Simon won the 200 medley relay in a time of 2:14.41 to get Maryville rolling to victory.
Mackenzie Jones won the 200 freestyle in 2:05.75, narrowly edging out teammate
Erin O'Brien who was .02 seconds back.
Natalie King was victorious in the 200 IM clocking a 2:27.63, while Shannon was second in the event.

On the boards,
Shawn Gans and
Lexy Haas were third and fourth in the one-meter diving event with 138.30 and 133.75 points, respectively. Later, Haas finished in second on the three-meter board with 147.65 points.

Jones won her second individual event when she came home first in the 100 butterfly in 1:08.15. King and Parks came home 1-2 in the 100 backstroke with winning in 1:05.63, just ahead of Parks in 1:05.87. O'Brien won the long 500 freestyle as she covered the distance in 5:47.16.
Theresa Alef triumphed in the 100 breaststroke touching in 1:16.85.

The Saints closed the event by winning the 200 freestyle relay in 1:49.97 with Parks, Alef, Jones and O'Brien taking the final event.
