The Maryville women's tennis team recorded a shutout of Fontbonne as the Saints did not drop a game in any set in posting a 9-0 sweep.Â
Manon Halna Du Fretay, in her debut for the Saints, swept her opponent at the top singles spot, while Rebekah Anderson won all 12 games at No. 2 singles. Puck Vlaskamp and Makenna Parker recorded 6-0, 6-0 decisions, and Andrea Fandino and Katherina Tietmann posted victories at No. 5 and No. 6, respectively, by sweeping their opponents 6-0, 6-0.
Anne Lutz and Vlaskamp swept their No. 1 doubles foes 8-0, and Halna Du Fretay and Peggy Vink won all eight games at No. 2 doubles. Fandino and Anderson closed out the doubles action with an 8-0 decision, too.
The Saints are back in action Wednesday when they host Lewis and Clark for a 2 p.m. match.
