The Maryville women's tennis team rolled to its third straight match win as it dropped just one contest in a 7-1 victory over Illinois Springfield Friday afternoon.
 
The Saints began the day with three straight wins in doubles action. Puck Vlaskamp and Rebekah Anderson posted an 8-3 win in the No. 1 doubles match. Andrea Fandino and Lina Kunert matched that effort in the second doubles slot with another 8-3 win. Lucy Horbatowski and Sarah Etter cruised to an 8-1 win at No. 3 doubles to stake the Saints to a 3-0 lead.
 
In singles action, the top three singles matches all went to a third set. The Prairie Stars grabbed a win at the top singles slot before Anderson rallied for a 3-6, 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 2 singles. Horbatowski pulled out a thrilling win at No. 3 singles action. She won the first set 7-5 before dropping set two 5-7. Horbatowski then squeaked out a tiebreaker win 8-6 in the third for a crucial point. Sandra Hinterberger won a 6-4, 7-5 decision at the fourth singles match, while Kine Kleppe earned a 6-2, 6-1 victory in the final singles tilt.
