Fulton, Mo. - The Maryville women's tennis team traveled to #19 William Woods looking for its second straight win but was dealt a 6-3 defeat Tuesday in Fulton, Mo.
 
The Saints grabbed the first point when Rebekah Anderson and Puck Vlaskamp won the No. 1 doubles point 8-6. However, the Owls rebounded to take the other two doubles points. Sarah Etter dominated at the top singles spot as she won 6-1, 6-0. Lucy Horbatowski won her match at No. 2 singles but William Woods posted wins in the other four singles matches to close out the win.
 
The Saints (3-4) are next in action this weekend when they participate in the GLVC/GLIAC Crossover Tournament in Chicago, Ill.
