Despite winning four singles matches, the Maryville University women's tennis was edged 5-4 by Rockhurst in the regular-season finale for both teams. The Saints will next be in action the 2016 Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament that begins April 29, hosted by Lewis University.
 
The Saints fell behind early and had to rally as Rockhurst won all three doubles matches. At No. 2, Andrea Fandino and Lucy Horbatowski nearly won the point at number two doubles but fell 8-6.
 
Moving into singles play, the Saints nearly came all the way back before the Hawks won two matches to close out the contest. Fandino took a three-set match at No. 2, 6-3 in the final set. Puck Vlaskamp won in straight sets 6-2 and 7-6 (7-3). Anderson was victorious at No. 4 singles with a 6-4, 6-0 decision. Kine Kleppe took her match at No. 6 singles by a score line of 6-3, 6-0 but Rockhurst won at number five singles for the final match score.
