2016 GLVC Women's Tennis Championships
The Saints garnered a berth into the GLVC Tournament in Romeoville, Ill., and are the No. 4 seed in the West Division. Maryville plays East Division champion and top-seed Lewis at Noon, Friday, April 29, at Jack Oremus Tennis Complex. If the Saints advance in the single-elimination tournament, they would take on the winner of the #2W Rockhurst-#3E Bellarmine match at Noon Saturday, April 30, played at Romeoville High School. The championship match takes place Sunday, May 1, at Noon, held at the Jack Oremus Tennis Complex.

About the Saints
Maryville earned its third straight bid to the GLVC Championship Tournament with a 3-3 league record and is 7-9 overall. 
Rebekah Anderson leads the team with an 11-5 record in dual matches and went 5-1 in GLVC contests. Four other Saints all posted eight wins in dual match play. In doubles play, the tandem of Anderson and 
Puck Vlaskamp recorded a 9-7 record, all at No. 1. 
Sarah Etter and 
Andrea Fandino recorded four wins at number two doubles, while 
Lucy Horbatowski and 
Cara Rickert posted four wins at the third doubles slot.
 
About Lewis University
The Flyers earned the top seed in the East Division by virtue of an unblemished 6-0 mark in conference play. Lewis posted a 15-4 record overall. The Flyers are ranked No. 5 in the Midwest Region.
