Missouri Baptist match results
Maryville women's tennis opened the fall portion of the season in emphatic fashion as the Saints dominated two local foes, Webster and Missouri Baptist. The Saints blanked the Gorlocks 9-0 in the morning, and Maryville downed the Spartans 7-2 in the afternoon at the Maryville Tennis Courts.

In the first match, the Saints only dropped three games in the three doubles matches.
Kine Kleppe and
Makenna Parker won all eight of the games at No. 3 doubles.
Lina Kunert and
Andrea Fandino posted an 8-2 win at No. 1, while
Lucy Horbatowski and
Ashley Dowden claimed an 8-1 win at No. 2 doubles.

In singles, the Saints lost only a total of seven games over the six matches and did not drop a set. Kleppe recorded a 6-1, 6-2 win at the top slot, and Horbatowski posted a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 2. Kunert notched a 6-2, 6-0 win at the third singles position. Fandino and Dowden did not drop a game as they both won all 12 games in their matches. Parker won her singles match 6-0, 6-1.

Against nearby Missouri Baptist, the Saints again swept the doubles matches to set up the win in singles play. Kunert and Fandino teamed up for the 8-3 at No. 1 doubles, Horbatowski and Dowden took the decision at No. 2 doubles 8-2, while Kleppe and Parker swept their contest at No. 3 doubles 8-0.

The Spartans won the singles matches at No. 1 and 2, but the Saints took the final four tilts to win the match. Again, Fandino claimed all 12 games in her match at No. 4, while Dowden and
Maya Biesterfeld won their matches by identical scores of 6-2, 6-1 and No. 5 and No. 6 singles, respectively.
