Cape Girardeau, Mo. - At the Redhawks Invitational in Cape Girardeau, Mo., the Maryville women's tennis team earned a split of its two matches. The Saints defeated William Woods 6-3 before host Southeast Missouri State downed Maryville 6-0.
 
Versus the Owls, the Saints took two of the doubles points. At No. 1, Rebekah Anderson and Lina Kunert won their match 6-4. Sarah Etter and Kine Kleppe took their second doubles match in a 7-5 decision. Anderson won her No. 2 singles point 6-1, 6-3. Sandra Hinterberger was victorious at No. 4 with a 6-3, 6-3 win. Kleppe claimed a triumph at No. 5 singles 6-2, 6-2, and Ashley Dowden won her No. 6 singles tilt 6-2, 6-3.
 
Against the Division I Redhawks, the Saints pushed the No. 3 doubles match to a tiebreak but SEMO took all three points. Maryville forced tiebreakers in two of the three singles matches but the Redhawks held on to close out the win.
