Summary
The Maryville men's basketball team defeated Division I Miami University 84-80 in an exhibition game Sunday in Oxford, Ohio. Marvin Grant-Clark scored a team-high 19 points, while Nolan Berry notched a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds.

What Happened
The Saints shot 51.5 percent in the first half (17-of-33) which led to a 47-36 lead at intermission. After the break, Miami closed to 58-55 at the 11:53 mark but the Saints responded with a 7-0 burst. In the final minute, Berry sank two free throws with 14 seconds left to build an 83-78 advantage for the Saints. Miami scored on a jumper to get to 83-80 before Grant-Clark converted one free throw with two seconds left to seal the win.

Notable
The Saints had a balanced attack and put five players in double figures.
Robin Thompson made seven of his nine shots from the field and finished with 17 points.
