Summary
Nolan Berry and Robin Thompson both notched double-doubles as the Maryville men's basketball team beat Missouri S&T 81-60. Berry finished with 15 points and 14 rebounds, while Thompson had 10 points and 12 boards.
 
What Happened
With the score tied at 16-all, while Saints scored six straight to take the lead. Forrester Sims scored on a layup, and Berry knocked down two free throws. A dunk by Berry led to a 22-16 lead. The Miners closed the gap to two but Jimmy Barton drilled a 3-pointer. The Saints forced a turnover, and Berry made a running 3-pointer at the buzzer for a 32-24 cushion at intermission.
 
Missouri S&T scored the first basket of the second half before a trey by Casey Teson and a Berry layup were good for a 37-26 advantage. The Saints quickly pushed the lead out after a bucket by Marvin Grant-Clark and a 3-pointer by Teehjay Bogan. Later, Grant-Clark made a trey, and Eugene Jones and Berry layups made for a 58-39 lead with just under 10 minutes to play. The margin grew to as much as 28 as the Saints cruised to their second straight victory.
