Robin Thompson notched double-doubles in the same game as the Maryville men's basketball squad held off Harris-Stowe 86-83. The visiting Hornets drained 15 3-pointers to stay close but Berry had 32 points and 11 rebounds, while Thompson notched 14 points and 10 boards.

What Happened
The Saints stretched a narrow 41-40 out to 56-42 with 13 minutes to go in the game. Thompson scored inside, and Berry knocked down a 3-pointer. After another triple by
Marvin Grant-Clark, Berry sank one free throw for a 50-40 edge. The Hornets scored on a layup before one
Grant Sims free throw, and a
Jimmy Barton layup. Berry completed a three-point play for the 14-point lead.

The Saints still led 60-47 with 11:26 remaining before the Hornets heated up from long distance. Harris-Stowe sank four 3-pointers in a flurry and forged a 66-66 tie. HSSU went up by one until
Forrester Sims sank a triple, and one Berry free throw built a 71-67 advantage at the 5:35 mark. The teams traded the lead 10 times down the stretch. Harris-Stowe sank another 3-pointer for an 83-82 lead with 65 seconds left to play. Berry tied the game with one free throw at the 42 second mark, and he pushed the Saints ahead with another charity toss with 22.6 ticks to go. The teams then traded turnovers to give the Hornets the ball.
Casey Teson grabbed the miss and sank two free throws with 10 seconds remaining to ice the victory.
