Arkadelphia, Ark. - On the first day of a tournament hosted by Ouachita Baptist, the Maryville women's tennis team cruised to two wins. The Saints shut out host OBU 9-0 then followed with an 8-1 victory over North Central Texas.

The Saints jumped on top by sweeping all three doubles matches.
Rebekah Anderson and
Puck Vlaskamp posted an 8-2 win at No. 1.
Andrea Fandino and
Lina Kunert eased to an 8-1 victory in the second doubles slot, and
Sarah Etter and
Lucy Horbatowski took all eight sets at No. 3. In singles action,
Sandra Hinterberger won 6-3, 6-0 at No. 3, while Kunert and Dowden both took all 12 games in their respective matches to clinch the victory.

Against North Central Texas, the Saints won all the matches that went to completion as NCT won its only point due to a retirement. The same doubles teams again put the Saints in charge by winning all three points. Singles play saw Etter post a 6-1, 7-5 win at No. 1, and Hinterberger swept all 12 games in a 6-0, 6-0 sweep at No. 2. Kine Klleppe won her No. 3 singles match 6-3, 6-2.
