Rockhurst boxscore

Kansas City, Mo. - The Maryville women's tennis team looked to close the regular season on a two-match winning streak but Rockhurst denied the Saints in a 6-3 decision Saturday morning in Kansas City. The Saints finish the regular season with a mark of 14-9 overall, 3-3 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
 
The Hawks took the top two doubles matches to grab the lead before Lucy Horbatowski and Sarah Etter battled for an 8-6 victory at No. 3 doubles. In singles play, Sandra Hinterberger won her singles point 6-1, 6-2 at No. 6 but the Hawks were victorious in the next four matchups to close out the team victory. Etter won her No. 1 singles tilt in a 10-7 superset to finish the bout.
 
The Saints are next in action at the GLVC Tournament April 21-23 at Dwight Davis Tennis Center in St. Louis' Forest Park.
