William Woods boxscore

St. Louis - Playing in its final non-conference home match, the Maryville women's tennis team emerged with a hard-fought 5-3 decision over visiting William Woods Friday afternoon.
 
The Saints took the first two doubles contests to take the early lead. Rebekah Anderson and Puck Vlaskamp grabbed an 8-2 win at No. 1 doubles. The duo of Lina Kunert and Sandra Hinterberger made it 2-0 with an 8-4 decision in the second doubles match. The Saints were aiming for a sweep in doubles but the Owls took the final match 8-6.
 
The Saints closed out the victory in singles play by winning the first three contests. Sarah Etter rolled to a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 1, and Kine Kleppe took down her opponent at No. 5 in matching 6-2, 6-2 set scores. Anderson clinched the win with a 6-3, 6-2 decision at fourth singles.
