Springfield, Mo. - The Maryville women's tennis team was looking for its fourth straight victory but No. 14 Drury denied the Saints with a 7-2 decision Saturday in Springfield, Mo.
 
The Saints duo of Lina Kunert and Sandra Hinterberger picked up the point at No. 2 doubles as they recorded an 8-6 win. However, Drury took the other two matches for a 2-1 edge heading into singles play. The Saints looked to cut into the Drury advantage but the home squad kept Maryville from making a run. Hinterberger managed to take her singles match at No. 6 6-0, 6-2 but that was the only contest the Saints won.
 
The Saints are now 13-8 on the season, 2-2 in the GLVC, while Drury is 16-2 overall, 2-1 in the league.
