In two Great Lakes Valley Conference duals, the No. 23 Maryville wrestling team earned a split on the day. No. 13 Indianapolis edged the Saints 18-16, while rolling by 36-11 against Bellarmine.

Versus the Greyhounds,
Tyler Kreith posted a 12-8 win at 125, and
Taylor Jokerst notched a 4-2 win at 133. Indy picked up a tech fall at 141 but
James Krischke answered with a 5-2 decision in the 149 class. The Greyhounds won at 157 before
Nick McGhee won at 165. The Greyhounds took the contests at 174 and 184. At 197,
Dustin Politte recorded a 10-2 major to give the Saints a 16-14 lead heading to the heavyweight contest. However, UIndy had its own major to narrowly win the match 18-16.

Kreith notched a 19-4 tech fall, and Jokerst followed with a 9-1 major to stake the Saints to an early 9-0 lead. Bellarmine won at 141 but Krischke responded and had a fall at 2:12. The Knights won two weight classes but the Saints answered by taking the final four bouts, including three by fall.
Tyler Harrington won his match at 174 via a 3-1 decision. At 184,
Bailey Kelly had a pin in 4:18, and Politte did the same in just 2:18 to take his 197 match.
Logan Radik then followed with Maryville's third straight fall, this time in just 1:33 to close out the match.
