The Maryville men's tennis team rolled to a 9-0 shutout victory at Bellarmine Sunday in Louisville, Ky. The Saints did not drop a set in any match to the Knights.
Louis Glaves and
Juan Segura posted an 8-2 win at the No. 1 doubles match, while
Bodin Aleksic and
Jack Beuttell-Triggs won their No. 2 contest by the same scoreline.
Fernando Orea and
Trey Barker blanked their opponents 8-0 in the third doubles slot.
In singles action, Glaves took all 12 games at No. 1, while Beuttell-Triggs only lost two games in a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 2. Segura did not drop a game in the third singles slot, and Orea eased to a 6-2, 6-4 victory at No. 4. Aleksic took the fifth singles match 6-0, 6-3, and
Donovan McKnight won 7-5, 6-2 in the final singles slot.
The Saints improved to 3-4 on the season with the triumph.
