INDIANAPOLIS - Maryville University sophomore
Michel Delaloye was voted to the 2026 All-Great Lakes Valley Conference First-Team Men's Tennis Team as announced Thursday.
Delaloye was a crucial member of the Saints squad that qualified for the 2026 GLVC Tournament this upcoming weekend. He had perhaps his most memorable singles win of the season when he rallied for a three-set in the final match against Division I Saint Louis University as his win proved to be the match winner. Delaloye also recorded an important victory at Illinois Springfield in the season finale that clinched the Maryville berth into the GLVC Tournament. He notched wins against Quincy, McKendree and Missouri-St. Louis. He teamed with
Diego Alvarez and regularly played at either No. 1 or No. 2 doubles. Delaloye posted six wins in singles play this season and had eight victories in doubles play.
In addition,
Luca Morbioli was chosen as Maryville's James R. Spalding Sportsmanship nominee.
The Saints men's tennis team takes on Quincy Friday, May 1, in the first round of the 2026 GLVC Tournament in Indianapolis.
