Traveling to face No. 33 University of Missouri-St. Louis, the Maryville women's tennis lost a 7-2 decision to the host Tritons Thursday afternoon.

Kine Kleppe notched the first point of the day for the Saints as they took their No. 2 doubles contest 8-5. The Tritons grabbed the other two doubles points to take the lead entering singles action.

Kleppe won her match at No. 5 singles via a default but the Tritons closed out the match by winning the rest of the singles points.
Lina Kunert took one set of her No. 4 match, while
Ashley Dowden emerged with a win in the second set of her contest at No. 6.

The Saints are right back on the court Friday as they play at Quincy.
