Clara Bascunana won the B Flight Consolation Doubles to highlight the Maryville women's tennis team efforts at the 2018 ITA Regional Tournament as hosted by Grand Valley State in Grand Rapids, Mich.

The duo won back-to-back matches by identical 8-3 scores to reach the semifinals. They edged out a 9-7 decision to reach the tourney championship. Dowden and Bascunana then won the title with an 8-4 victory in the first-place match.

Nicole Pafundi stormed to the semis of the A Singles bracket to top the Saints individuals. She lost just four games in her opener before claiming a 6-0, 6-2 victory. Pafundi  advanced with a 6-4, 6-3 reach the quarterfinals. She had to rally to reach the semis after losing the opening set 3-6. Pafundi forced a tiebreak with a 6-1 win and took the match with a 10-4 win. She was finally eliminated just short of the title match.

Bascunana rallied twice in the A Singles consolation draw and won another match in a 6-1, 6-3 decision to reach the semis. However, her run came to an end in a straight set loss just one step from the finals.

Sandra Hinterberger won her opening match in the A Singles draw 6-1, 6-1 before dropping to the B bracket.
Maya Biesterfeld advanced to the semifinals of the B Singles consolation bracket before her tournament came to an end.
