The Maryville women's tennis team had its three-match snapped as No. 22 Drury defeated the Saints 5-2 Friday in a GLVC contest in Springfield, Mo.

Sandra Hinterberger and Ashley Dowden swept their doubles match 6-0 but Drury won the other two doubles contests to take the point. In singles play, Nicole Pafundi defeated No. 21 Yu-Ning Lee 6-0, 6-3 at No. 1, while Dowden dominated her singles contest at No. 6. The Saints were unable to close the gap as the Panthers closed out the match.

The Saints slip to 6-4 overall, 1-1 in the conference. Drury improves to 9-3, 1-0 in the GLVC. Maryville is next in action at home Friday, April 5, as it hosts Quincy.
