O'Fallon, Ill. – The Maryville University women's swim team traveled across the Mississippi River this past weekend and placed third at the McKendree Tri-Meet. This women's only event consisted of the host McKendree University, Illinois State University and Maryville at the McKendree Metro Rec Plex Pool.
 
Sophomore Karen Bistrain secured the best finish of the day with a 2:14.17, 200-yard backstroke. Junior Sarah Rosson and freshman Jordan Mercer took part in a pair of fifth place finishes with Mercer recording impressive clips in the long-distance competitions.
