Lockport, Ill. - The No. 13 ranked Maryville bowling team reached the finals of the Flyer Classic before dropping the championship match to host Lewis University. Three Saints made the All-Tournament team as Natalie Heltne finished second, Anna Maxwell was third and Keagan Trexler took fourth place. In addition, Bailey Delrose was sixth overall and Macailin Rodriguez finished 20th overall.
 
The Saints bowled a school record of 1145 in the BYE match in the traditional format. Maryville topped 1000 pins four times over the weekend. The Saints were undefeated before reaching the championship bracket. After taking down Lewis in the first round 4-1, the Saints faced the Flyers for the title. However, Lewis beat Maryville 4-2 to win the title.
 
The Saints return to the lanes at the Mid-Winter Invitational in Jonesboro, Ark., Feb. 18-20.
