St. Louis - The Maryville field hockey team recorded a 2-0 victory over DePauw in exhibition action Saturday afternoon. The Saints tallied goals in the second and third quarter en route to the win.

Lachlan Sanders tallied the opening goal in the final minute of the second quarter to boost the Saints to a 1-0 lead. Maryville earned a corner, and
Gwen Oudesluys fed the ball into the middle. Sanders collected the pass and fired it into the cage just 49 seconds before halftime.

Midway through the third quarter, Oudesluys ran down a pass from
Skyler Turiello and blasted a shot off the DePauw goalie that deflected into the net for a 2-0 margin.
Liz Bierhals faced three shots, made one save, and recorded the shutout for Maryville.

The Saints begin their inaugural season of play Sunday, Sept. 4, when they host Frostburg State for a Noon contest.
