Indianapolis – Maryville junior defensive specialist Taylor Hasbrook was named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week for the period ending Sept. 4. She is Maryville volleyball's first GLVC Player of the Week recipient. Hasbrook helped the Saints post a 3-1 record at the Kentucky Wesleyan Invitational, and recorded double-digit digs in all four contests. She has led Maryville to a 7-1 start this season, the best since the 1993 campaign.
 
Hasbrook averaged 5.14 digs over 14 sets last week and finished with a team-high 72 over four matches. She recorded a season-high 22 digs in back-to-back matches against Tiffin and Lincoln Memorial, one short of her career high. Hasbrook followed up with 18 digs versus Purdue Northwest, and finished with 10 in a sweep at Kentucky Wesleyan. In addition, she added 21 assists and chipped in four service aces.
 
The Saints are next in action Friday, Sept. 9, when they travel to Lebanon, Ill., to face Missouri-St. Louis and McKendree in nonconference matches
