The Saints dominated the first period on Saturday, outshooting the visitors 14-3 in the opening frame. Brooks broke through on the powerplay at 15:27 for her second goal of the season, assisted by
Paige Dawson and
Ana Kahlhammer. The junior from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, doubled the lead in the second period off another pass from Dawson and Mady Johnson. Cadrain took it from there and earned her sixth win and second shutout of the season with a 16-save performance.

On Sunday, Maryville again dominated the first period with
Addison Cooper getting the first goal of the game off Johnson's fourth helper of the season. Johnson got a goal of her own in the second period before UMD scored at 7:32. The Saints responded minutes later with a pair of powerplay goals from
Brooklyn Gillings and
Maude St. Louis to make it 4-1. Cadrain shut down any ideas of a Dearborn comeback in the third period to improve her record to 6-2-0 to begin the year.
