ST. LOUIS – Maryville's ACHA Women's Hockey has officially announced its 2026-27 schedules as both teams prepare for another exciting season on the ice. The upcoming year also marks an exciting milestone for the department as Tommy Lange has officially been promoted to Women's ACHA Hockey Coordinator, continuing to lead the growth and success of both women's programs under AD of Hockey
John Hogan. With more than 50 student-athletes competing across the two teams, Maryville Women's Hockey continues to establish itself as one of the premier destinations for women's ACHA hockey in the Midwest.
WOMEN'S 1
The Women's 1 team enters the 2026-27 season with championship aspirations once again after continuing to establish itself among the nation's elite ACHA rosters. With more than seven newcomers joining a talented returning core, the Saints will roster more than 27 student-athletes while competing in 24 quality contests throughout the season.
The schedule features local rivalries against McKendree and Lindenwood while once again matching up against perennial national contenders Liberty, Midland, Adrian, and Michigan-Dearborn. Every weekend provides another opportunity for the Saints to test themselves against some of the top programs in the country.
After falling in double overtime of the ACHA National Championship game two seasons ago to Liberty and suffering an overtime loss in last year's national semifinal to eventual champion Midland, the Saints are determined to take the next step. With another experienced roster and one of the nation's most challenging schedules, Maryville will look to bring home the program's first ACHA National Championship.
WOMEN'S 2
The Women's 2 team is coming off its most successful season to date both on and off the ice and enters 2026-27 with tremendous momentum. Head Coach Payton and the Saints are expected to roster more than 22 student-athletes as the program continues to grow in both depth and competitiveness.
A highlight of this year's schedule is a new showcase event in Kansas City, where the Saints will face regional opponents Arkansas, Iowa, and Missouri. The continued addition of new Women's 2 programs throughout the region is another encouraging sign for the growth of women's collegiate hockey, providing more meaningful competition and exciting opportunities for student-athletes across the Midwest.
LOOKING AHEAD
Women's hockey has become a vital part of the continued growth and success of Maryville Hockey. With talented student-athletes, experienced leadership, and highly competitive schedules, both teams are well-positioned for another outstanding season on the ice.
The Saints look forward to welcoming fans back to Maryville University Hockey Center this fall as both programs continue their pursuit of conference championships, national tournament appearances, and continued excellence in the classroom, the community, and on the ice.
