Beckett Secures ACHA Player of the Year Honors

TROY, Mich. — The American Collegiate Hockey Association announced today the 2025 recipient of the Women's Division One Zoe Harris Award is Haley Beckett from Maryville University. The Zoe Harris Award, which recognizes the ACHA's regular season player of the year, is the top individual award a player can receive. The Zoe Harris award is decided on by the competition committee, which is made up of seven (7) coaches in the division.

"Haley is very deserving of this award for all the dedication, work, and execution that she has put in this year as a freshman to win this award," Maryville Head Coach, Tom Lange said. "She has also been fortunate to play with some incredible teammates that have helped her and the team succeed this year."

Haley Beckett is a Freshman from Collingwood, Ontario. Beckett played in thirty-two (32) games this season. She scored twenty-two (22) goals. Three (3) of those goals were game winning goals, and six (6) of the goals were power play goals. She also had twenty-six assists (26), for a total of forty-eight (48) points.

Adrian College Head Coach, Brendan Ramboer said, "Haley has a shot that can beat goalies, and hands that can get her to the net with the puck. It's hard to defend a player that can score from anywhere. As a freshman, she is proof that recruiting classes in the ACHA are only getting stronger."

Other finalists for the award included Aria Groot from McKendree University, Loki Antonio from Lindenwood University, and Tess McKerrow from Adrian College.

The Zoe Harris Award is named in honor of Zoe Harris, who was instrumental in pioneering the birth of the Women's Division in the year 2000. She served as Co-Vice President of the division and worked tirelessly recruiting the first women's teams into the division. She established a set of rules and regulations for the new division that were eventually incorporated into the ACHA Policies and Procedures Manual. Zoe was also instrumental in the appointment of the first women's commissioner. All of these efforts were accomplished as Zoe was coaching the ACHA Men's Division II team at the University of Washington.
