Box Score St. Louis – The Maryville men's tennis team emerged with a narrow 4-3 victory over Lewis in Great Lakes Valley Conference play Friday at Dwight Davis Tennis Center.
 
Mario Aleksic and Sebastian Trigosso battled to a 7-5 win at the No. 1 doubles position. Tom Schmitt and Jose Hernandez were victorious at No. 2 doubles via a 6-4 scoreline as the Saints won the doubles point.  
 
Singles action saw Yann Frezouls win at the fifth slot 6-1, 6-0. Juan Suero took his match at No. 6 singles via walkover. The Flyers won the other matches with the contest coming down to the final contest at No. 3. Trigosso posted a 6-3, 6-3 win that gave the Saints the decisive point.
 
The Saints close the regular season Saturday, April 15, as Illinois Springfield comes to Forest Park for an 11 a.m. match.
