Box Score St. Louis - The Maryville women's tennis squad swept the doubles matches but were unable to carry the momentum into the singles draw as Lewis rallied for a 5-2 win. The match was held at the Dwight Davis Tennis Center.
 
Carolina Velazquez and Billur Gonlussen prevailed at the top doubles position 7-5. Emily Orlove and Victoria Lisson posted a 6-3 win at No. 2. The third doubles slot saw Maria Gouveia and Maria Paula Suarez work for a 6-4 win as the Saints took all three contests.
 
Nazli Saka rallied to grab a win at No. 4 singles via a 2-6, 7-6 (7-4), 6-3 scoreline. However, the Flyers won two close singles matches that went the distance and closed out the remaining matches to handle the Saints Friday.
 
The Saints close the regular season Saturday, April 15, as Illinois Springfield comes to Forest Park for an 11 a.m. match.
