Mario Aleksic won his match at No. 1 singles but could not prevent the No. 3 seeded Maryville men's tennis team from dropping its match against No. 2 seed Rockhurst 4-1 at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament.

The Hawks took the team doubles point by virtue of a 6-0 win at No. 1 and a 6-2 decision at No. 2. Aleksic won the opening set 6-1 but lost set two 6-3 at his No. 1 singles clash. He rebounded to win the third set 6-3 to take the match and get the Saints on the board. Rockhurst won the singles contests at No. 2 and 3 in straight sets.
Tom Schmitt took the first set at the No. 4 singles match. However, his Hawk foe rallied to grab sets two and three to win the contest for the Hawks.
