ROLLA, Mo. – Maryville men's track & field placed seventh at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships over the weekend. The Saints tallied 44 total points, five back of McKendree University in sixth and one point ahead of William Jewell College.

Leading the way for the Saints was
Rand Mathews with a third-place finish in the long jump. The freshman posted his personal record in the event at 6.97m to score six points toward the collective score.

Jobey Smith, and
Mason Gray combined for a fourth-place finish in the 4x400 as well, finishing in 3:23.69 to add five more points. Smith also had an impressive weekend for the Saints, taking third in the 400m hurdles (54.97) and eighth in the 200m (23.04.)
In the decathlon,
Austin Terry scored 5,936 points to earn fourth while
Collin White scored in the event too with 5,309 points. Terry and White both added more points in the high jump, taking fifth and seventh, respectively.
Monte Weaver rounds out the notable performances for the Saints at the GLVC Outdoor Championships. The freshman tallied a fifth-place finish in the 100m (10.64) and a sixth-place finish in the 200m (22.59).Â

The Saints wrap up their regular season on Thursday, May 11, at the Missouri S&T Last Chance Qualifier in Rolla, Mo.
