ST. LOUIS – Maryville University men's soccer opened the 2023 campaign with a 2-2 draw against Davenport University on Thursday evening. The Saints received goals from
Mason Crew in the 20
th minute and
Caden Tubaugh in the 57
th minute and outshot the Panthers 20-5 in total.

- Tim Smith and Mason Crew each put shots on goal in the first 16 minutes of the game.
- In the 20th minute, Mason Crew received some space in the middle of the box after passes from Alberto Di Pierri and Luca Bartoni and buried his first goal of the season in the bottom right corner.
