St. Louis – Mallorie Metzger finished first overall to win the Mikalya Sherrill Fall Classic and paced the Maryville women's cross country team to second place. The meet was conducted in Willmore Park in South St. Louis city and hosted by UHSP.
 
Metzger covered the 5K distance in a time of 18:39.3 to top the field of 51 runners. Lyric Ford finished in sixth place in 19:45.4, while Maddie Marschel took 10th with a time of 20:41.7. Kayla Winecoff clocked a time of 22:48.2, Abigail Genenbacher was right behind in 22:56.3.
 
Laci Sims followed her teammates across the line in 22:56.3, and Chloe Dasenbrock came home in 23:16.1. Rebekah Liew-Nguyen was Maryville's final finisher at 24:30.3.
 
College of the Ozarks won the team title with a score of 30, while Maryville compiled 69 team points in the field of seven teams.
